Welcome to my class! I’m Coach Barnett, and I’ve been teaching since 2013, joining Austin High School in 2023. I served in the United States Army from 2008 to 2012, and I’ve taught a range of grade levels from 6th to 12th. This year, I’m excited to be teaching World Geography and World History, as well as coaching football and baseball here at Austin High.

I’m passionate about helping students discover their interests and supporting them in pursuing their goals. My classes are designed to foster critical thinking and engage students in discussions that connect social studies skills to real-life applications. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year together!
