Mr. Antonio Ibarra
After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin in December 2016, I began my career teaching 10th grade English at Morton Ranch HS in Katy ISD. I taught students of all learning levels, including English language learners and pre-AP students, before eventually accepting a position at Austin High School in 2021. Since then, I have enjoyed teaching freshmen and sophomores of varying levels, and I have truly appreciated the diversity that our school (and district) offers.
As part of my teaching philosophy, I am dedicated to instilling an appreciation for the core skills that are essential for students' future academic and personal success. Central to this philosophy is the emphasis on critical thinking and resilience. Through my teaching, I strive to create an environment where students feel supported and empowered to take intellectual risks, embrace challenges, and develop these fundamental skills. By doing so, I hope students leave my classroom empowered to take on any future challenges!
