I am currently the World Language Department chair at Austin High School and I also teach levels II and IVAP.  I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and Psychology and a Master's Degree in secondary Education.  I am ready and excited to work with all my students this year.

I am originally from Honduras, raised in NY.  I am married to Osman Ruiz, and we are proud parents of 3 beautiful children.  Having relocated to the Houston area from the Bronx, NY, our entire family has found a new love for Texas.  We love Texas and hope it will be our "home" for years to come.

I enjoy online shopping, decorating for special events and spending quality time with family and friends.  My passion for decorating and organizing is portrayed in my personality and in the classroom.  I love sharing ideas and infusing the LOVE of LIFE and the LOVE of SPANISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE with everyone I meet.
