Ms. Rebecca Mondesir

Welcome! My name is Rebecca Mondesir. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and I have taught for nine years. My journey into the world of STEM started early on, driven by a fascination with technology and problem-solving. I pursued this passion by earning my bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering Technology from the University of Houston, which provided a strong foundation for the work I do today.

As an educator, I am deeply committed to inspiring and empowering my students to explore and excel in STEM. I believe that engineering is more than just equations and theories; it's about creativity, innovation, and the practical skills that can solve real-world problems. My goal is to help each student unlock their potential, build confidence in their abilities, and see the value of perseverance and critical thinking. Whether through hands-on projects, collaborative challenges, or creative problem-solving, I strive to make STEM accessible and engaging for everyone in my classroom.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy a well-rounded life filled with activities that fuel my body and soul. I love cooking and find creativity just as exciting in the kitchen as in the classroom. Staying active through exercise is another passion of mine—it keeps me energized and focused. I also enjoy reading, whether it's about the latest advancements in engineering or books about my faith. Traveling helps broaden my perspective, and spending time with my family and friends is the heart of everything I do.

I am excited about the year ahead and look forward to working with students, parents, and fellow educators to foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and the development of essential problem-solving skills. Let us make this school year one of discovery, growth, and success together!
