Coach Jasmine Hartman

Jasmine Hartman has been an educator since 2013.  Hartman is an accomplished basketball coach with a rich history as a player and leader. Hartman chose to continue her basketball career at the University of Oklahoma. At Oklahoma, she was part of a decorated era, contributing to back-to-back NCAA Final Four appearances in 2009 and 2010, a Big-12 Championship, and two Sweet Sixteen appearances. Hartman played in a then-team record 143 career games, starting 28 games at point guard, and served as a team captain elected by her teammates. Hartman finished her career with her bachelor's and master’s degrees in Human Relations and earned Academic All-Big 12 First Team Selection.

After her collegiate career, Jasmine Hartman began her teaching and coaching journey in Devers, TX, where she served as the Athletic Coordinator and PE instructor. She coached cross-country, volleyball, boys & girls basketball, and track & field, leading her volleyball and girls' basketball teams to undefeated district seasons. Hartman’s next step was at Liberty High School, where she transformed a struggling 1-11 basketball program into a winning team with a .500+ record. Over three seasons, she guided the team to consecutive playoff appearances, coached four regional qualifiers in track and served as a Southeast Texas All-Star Basketball Assistant Coach.

In 2018, Hartman was chosen for the role of Head Girls Basketball Coach at 6A J. Frank Dobie High School, where she enjoyed an extraordinarily successful six-year tenure. Under her leadership, the Dobie girls' program amassed over 100 wins, reached the postseason six times, won back-to-back district championships, and twice advanced to the area playoff round. She coached over 30 academic all-district athletes, five all-state academic athletes, and three district MVPs.

Now, Coach Hartman brings her expertise and leadership to Fort Bend Austin High School, where she will serve as Co-Coordinator and Head Girls Basketball Coach. Her goal is to help students excel both in competition and in life beyond the game.
