Greetings!  My name is Chandralyn Moore Stell and I am the French teacher at Stephen F. Austin High School.  

Although I was born in Louisiana, I consider myself a native Texan. I was raised in nearby Beaumont, where I graduated high school with Honors.  I am a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where I majored in International Business, French, and Plan II Honors. I worked as a banking manager in the New York / Pennsylvania area before moving to France for several years as a banking consultant.  I was fortunate enough to travel on three continents lending my opinion to various business endeavors before moving back to the States in 2008 where I decided to get a “real job” teaching French to middle school students in North Houston. I taught for five years before making a transition to Fort Bend ISD. Today, I am extremely excited to be working with exceptional students and staff in the best district in the state of Texas at the “Hidden Jewel” of Fort Bend County schools.

I am committed to bringing passion and fun to the classroom in order to inspire students and infect them with my own love of learning.  I am committed to treating my students with respect so that they can grow intellectually, socially, and academically in a safe environment. I am committed to promoting risk-taking so that each student will be empowered to participate actively, think critically, analyze rigorously, fail fearlessly, and ultimately achieve success in these learning experiences. I am committed to developing my students’ logic, reasoning, and communication skills to make them more well-rounded scholars in all disciplines.
