Ms. Angela Gomez
Hola! My name is Mrs. Angela Gomez!
Originally from Colombia, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and a diploma in Industrial Safety, specializing in the oil sector. I worked for approximately four years as a Technical Services Engineer in the Environmental Division of the oil industry. In 2017, I moved to the United States with my family.
In 2021, I began my educational career as a Substitute teacher in an elementary school. Also, I worked in Special Education, providing individualized support to students with diverse needs. After two years in this role, I transitioned to teaching Spanish at Elkins High School, where I have been teaching since 2023.
I'm a mother of a pair of twin girls and a little boy. I love to spend my free time with them. My family is my daily inspiration, renewing my vocation as an educator. I enjoy my daily job teaching my students the Spanish language. Therefore, my teaching goes beyond language; I love to immerse my students in authentic Hispanic culture—music, traditions, art. My classroom is an inclusive, dynamic, and multicultural space where all students feel motivated to explore and learn.
