My name is Mrs. Miriam Bratton and i would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to a new and exciting year at Elkins high school. As your child’s Spanish i and ii teacher i am looking forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the coming year which promises to bring with it many new experiences and challenges.

I am from Mexico and I have been married for 16 years. Since then, I have been living in Houston. I have 2 kids in middle school.

Today’s Spanish classroom is a vibrant and interactive learning community, integrating language and culture by incorporating a wide range of strategies, activities and technology that help enable students’ use of language in meaningful and purposeful ways. In order to make the year a successful one, teamwork and cooperation will be required by all. As your child’s teacher, it is my goal to help your child to emerge as a confident Spanish language learner. I will do my best to help make this year a positive experience for your child.
