My name is Yvonne Garcia, and I am a dedicated special education teacher and volleyball coach with a passion for helping others and a strong athletic background. I have dedicated two decades to the field of education, holding a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Special Education from the University of Texas–Pan American. Over the years, I have honed my skills and knowledge to provide quality education and support to students with diverse needs.

My career in education spans more than 20 years, during which I have gained extensive experience in various aspects of special education, from elementary to high school levels. I focus on developing individualized educational plans, setting clear goals, and using strategies that build confidence and independence. My commitment to inclusive education has allowed me to make a lasting impact on the lives of countless students.

Beyond the classroom, I am an avid sports enthusiast. I played volleyball throughout high school and college, which instilled in me a deep appreciation for the physical and mental benefits of athletics. This passion has led me to coach volleyball, soccer, and wrestling, inspiring young athletes to reach their full potential. As a volleyball coach, I use the sport as a platform to teach teamwork, discipline, and resilience—lessons my athletes can carry into every area of life.

Through my combined expertise in special education and athletics, I bring a unique perspective to the field of education. Whether in the classroom, on the court, or in the community, I am dedicated to creating inclusive and supportive environments where all students can thrive.
