Dr. Nichole Hertel

As the saying goes, “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!”  In fact, I could say the same thing about Fort Bend I.S.D.  I am a proud alumna of Lantern Lane Elementary, Quail Valley Middle School and Dulles High School. And my daughters are proud alumnae of Elkins High School (classes of 2018 and 2021). This year marks my 28th year in education, 15th year as a high school teacher and 43rd year in the Missouri City area.  I have taught at the elementary, high school and college levels, and have degrees in Journalism, Secondary Education and Curriculum and Instruction (University of Houston and Houston Baptist University). I live in Missouri City with my family and four hairy, four-legged children. .  

I love being a teacher and am most passionate about helping develop critical thinkers, good writers and exceptional people.
