Mr. Jackson Ford Lusk

My name is Jackson Lusk, and I'm honored to be a part of the Elkins High School faculty. I teach five sections of World History, along with one class each of Psychology and Sociology. I hold a B.A.in Social Science, with over 10 years of experience in education. In addition, I have completed 104 hours of post-baccalaureate coursework focused on emerging adolescent behavior, education, and counseling.  Prior to my teaching career, I spent more than 25 years as a senior consultant in the Oil and Gas industry, working primarily in South America and the Arabian Peninsula. These combined experiences allow me to bring real-world applications and global perspectives into the classroom, enriching student understanding and engagement.  You'll find me in Rm 123, where every day is an opportunity for inquiry, dialogue and growth.

At Elkins, our mission is to prepare students to be thoughtful, informed, and empowered individuals ready to meet the challenges of the future. In my classroom, I strive to create a supportive and intellectually engaging environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and respect for diverse viewpoints.  Whether we are studying historical events, psychological theories, or sociological trends, my goal is to connect with real-life relevance and encourage lifelong learning. I look forward to partnering with students and families to make this a meaningful and successful year. Go Knights.
