Library Policies
General Hours
- Monday-Friday 7:05 AM – 3:15 PM
- Other hours as stated below
Before School
- Before 1st period, students may use the library to check out books, print and use computers, and use the table areas.
- Students will be picked up at 7:05 AM from the cafeteria and escorted to the library.
During Class
- Students may visit the library with a library pass from a teacher.

- There is a limit of 2 students per teacher pass.
- Students may use the library computers and printer for schoolwork.
- Food and drinks besides water are not allowed during class time.
During Lunch
- The library is open during all lunches every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- The librarian will pick up each group in the cafeteria within the first 5 minutes of the lunch period.
- During 5th period, students in class may visit with a pass from their teacher, but only for academic purposes (not to join the lunch crowd).
- During lunch, students may eat and drink in the designated area near the front entrance.
After School
- The library is open every day after school until 3:15 PM.
- Hours past 3:15 PM are available upon request for clubs, organization, and study hall.
- The library is open most Thursdays until 4:30 PM and often stays open past 3:15 on other days too. Check the library whiteboard for daily closing times.
- Students will be escorted to the front of the campus to catch their rides or walk home at 3:15 or 4:30 PM depending on the day.
- Students must have a valid way home to stay after school.
General Policies
- Students may check out up to 2 books at a time for a three-week window with the option to renew.
- Desktop computers and printing are available to all students, though printing requires a purchasable print card (see the RevTrak section).
- During the instructional day, computers are to be used for schoolwork only. Games and social media are not considered schoolwork.
Student Expectations
- Students are expected to show respect with their words and actions to all people and property within the library.
- Students are expected to help keep the library organized and neat, particularly the lunch area.
- Students may not bring food or drinks into the library except during lunch and in designated areas.
Lost or Damaged Books
- When a student loses or irreparably damages a book, he or she will be fined an amount not to exceed the cost of the book.
- Always speak to the librarian before paying a fine.
- A student may not be allowed to check out additional books until a fine is resolved.
