Welcome to Almeta Crawford High School! It gives me great honor to be your student's English teacher/educator. My background has been extensive, with 34 years of experience in education. My positions have covered almost all levels: Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Superintendent, Adjunct Professor, Founder of a Charter School, and Regional Consultant for over 70 Charter Schools. Most of my educational experience was accomplished in Cincinnati, Ohio. I stand firm on teaching reading and writing strategies to promote growth for every student. My students will show growth in listening, speaking, writing, reading, and inquiry as they develop their skills both in class and at home, practicing doing homework. My passion is to assist each learner to show growth from where they were at the beginning of the year to the end of each term. My educational philosophy is to provide an atmosphere of inclusion, realistic application, and critical thinking that enhances each student's ability to become self-directed and own their path to a brighter future. It truly takes a village to assist a student to show their full potential, and I am excited to become a part of the village!
