Welcome to Almeta Crawford High School! It gives me great honor to be your student's English teacher/educator. My background has been extensive with 34 years of experience in education. My positions have covered almost all levels: Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Superintendent, Adjunct Professor, founder of a Charter School, and Regional Consultant for over 70 Charter Schools. Most of my educational experience was accomplished in Cincinnati, Ohio. I stand firm on teaching strategies of reading and writing to increase growth for every student. My students will show growth in listening, speaking, writing, reading and inquiry as they develop their skills both in class and at home, practicing doing homework. My passion is to assist each learner to show growth from where they were at the beginning of the year to the end of each term. My educational philosophy is to provide an atmosphere of inclusion, realistic application, and critical thinking which embellishes each student's ability to become self-taught to own their own direction for a brighter future. It truly takes a village to assist a student to show their full potential, and I am excited to become a part of the village!
