Technology Applications
-
Technology Applications is a required enrichment curriculum specified in TEC 28.002 that focuses on the teaching, learning and integration of digital technology skills across the curriculum. The Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Technology Applications curriculum (Chapter 126) has six strands based on the National Educational Technology Standards for students: creativity and innovation; communication and collaboration; research and information fluency; critical thinking; problem solving and decision making; digital citizenship; and technology operations and concepts.
In Fort Bend ISD, we believe that every student should have the opportunity to study rigorous Technology Applications courses. Technology Applications courses are listed in the Middle and High School Course Selection Guides.
Each course includes an overview that reflects the sequence for the course. Overviews are determined by the District and reflect alignment to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.
