NWEA Map - Universal Screener

  • NWEA MAP is FBISD's universal screener.  There are two types of MAP Assessment:

    • MAP Growth
    • MAP Reading Fluency

MAP Growth assesses a student's understanding of math, reading, science skills and measures student growth over time.

MAP Reading Fluency focuses on foundational reading skills and oral reading fluency.

The results from these assessments inform instructional decisions and can be one tool to assist in identifying small groups.
