Social studies students in grades PreK -12 obtain a foundation in history, geography, economics, government, citizenship, culture, science and technology. The curriculum is standards-based and students are engaged through technology, reading, writing, discussion, problem-solving and inquiry-based activities. As students progress through the social studies curriculum, they will acquire the content knowledge and skills necessary to become critical thinkers, engaged citizens and consumers of information.
Each course includes an overview that reflects the sequence for the course. Overviews are determined by the District and reflect alignment to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.
