The Fort Bend ISD Film Festival competition is an enrichment opportunity which celebrates and showcases the creative talents of our students, fostering a passion of storytelling through a variety of digital media. It encourages innovation, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. By recognizing and rewarding the outstanding achievements of our students we aim to cultivate a culture of creativity and inspire the next generation of filmmakers and journalists.

The top winners in each category will be recognized at the Film Fest awards ceremony on Thursday, March 5, 2026. The awards ceremony will take place from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM at James Reese Career and Technical Center. Please feel free to save this Film Fest Flyer as a reminder.

SUBMISSION RULES

• You may submit a maximum one entry per film category (a maximum of one long film and one short film).
• Secondary students may also submit up to one photo per photography category (up to one sports photo and one student life photo).
• Submit your individual or group project in the correct Schoology assignment (TMS5-XDFQ-GXT78) no later than 4:00 P.M. on Monday, February 2, 2026.
• Complete the Submission Form no later than 4:00 P.M. on Monday, February 2, 2026. This form must be completed for each project you are submitting. While films can have more than three participants, a maximum of three filmmakers can be included in the list of people to receive an award.
• Entries must be original work and adhere to all copyright rules, as outlined in the documents linked below. Entries that do not adhere to copyright rules will be disqualified from the competition.
• Entries may be submitted with or without the assistance of an adult. You may utilize a parent or teacher if you need assistance with the submission process, but all work should be your own.

News Broadcast

Entries will be divided by elementary, middle, and high school age groups. The broadcast sponsor for each campus may submit one entry for their campus.
