Ridgemont Elementary

Ridgemont Elementary was opened in August, 1973 in the Ridgemont subdivision. The building was originally designed as an open-concept facility. Since then, walls, doors, telephones and carpets have been installed in all of the classrooms. An additional five classrooms have been added to the building. Ridgemont Elementary currently serves students from 2nd through 5th grade, while our sister school, the Ridgemont Early Literacy Center, serves students from pre-kindergarden through 1st grade. Our school achieved a "B" state accountability rating in the 2021-2022 school year.
Mission: Ridgemont Elementary staff exists to engage, equip, and empower our students to achieve excellence in academic achievement in an equitable and safe learning environment.
Vision: By providing a learning environment that fosters engagement, equity, empowerment, the integration of the FBISD Profile of a Graduate descriptors, Ridgemont Elementary will be recognized as a top performing urban elementary school in the state of Texas.

The Front Office is open from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Second Grade - Fifth Grade
8:05 a.m. - 3:25 p.m.Doors open at 7:30 a.m. ( There is no supervision for students that arrive before 7:30 a.m.)

The official attendance-taking time (“snapshot”) for Ridgemont Elementary School is 10:00 a.m. each school day.
Students are expected to be in class each day at 10:00 a.m.
