• Action Based Learning (ABL) is an instructional strategy based on brain research that supports the link between physical activity and improved academic performance. The lab will provide students the opportunity to reinforce academic concepts physically. Research has show that movement improves cognition, strengthens memory, boosts brain function, regulates behavior, and prepares the brain to learn. Students at Ridgemont will attend the Action Based Learning lab at least once a week to reinforce classroom concepts while moving and being physically active.
