Mr. Rhoden

Hello, wonderful families and students!

I'm thrilled to be your 4th-grade teacher this year. My journey to the classroom is a unique one, fueled by a lifelong passion for leadership and a deep desire to give back. I'm a proud graduate of the University of Houston, where I earned my degree in Communication with a minor in African American Studies. Before embarking on this incredible teaching adventure, I spent 12 years in the dynamic world of retail. This experience honed my natural leadership skills and taught me invaluable lessons about navigating diverse situations and connecting with people.

Coming back to education feels like coming home, especially as a proud alumnus of Ridgemont Elementary myself! I truly believe my real-world experiences offer a wealth of knowledge to share with the future generation. Outside of school, you'll often find me unwinding with some gaming or passionately cheering on my favorite teams, the Houston Texans and the University of Colorado Football. My greatest joys, however, come from my amazing wife of 12 years and our four wonderful children – they are truly my "why."
In my classroom, my goal is simple: to equip every student with the mindset and real-life skills needed to succeed in the world ahead. I pour all of myself into teaching, striving to provide practical insights alongside academic lessons. My favorite guiding principle is: "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." I look forward to an incredible year of growth, discovery, and seeing each of my 4th graders flourish!
