I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree 

in Education. I hold a Bilingual Certification from Early Childhood to 6​^th​ grade.  

 I have worked in different roles in education over the years: classroom, coordinator, coach and 

mentor to teachers and students.  

I have decades of experience in education, but I still feel a sense of excitement at the beginning 

of every new school year.  

 I am currently the 4​^th​ grade Bilingual Mentor teacher at Ridgemont, I am thrilled to be here. 

My philosophy is that every child deserves to be looked in the eye and treated with respect. 

Treating a child as an equal instead of a charge goes a long way in motivating them to want to 

learn. There’s nothing like watching the expression change on their faces as they make 

connections and begin to understand a new concept. When they ask questions, find new 

perspectives, and successfully challenge their thinking, it makes me immeasurably happy. The 

ultimate joy for me in the classroom is knowing I played a part in furthering a child’s education.  

 Parents, I would like to invite you to work with me to make this a successful school year for 

your children. I am convinced that we can work as a team to preparing our future presidents, 

lawyers, astronauts, or anything your child wants to be.
