Welcome to second grade! My name is Amy D'Oench (Dench).   I graduated from Dulles High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science-Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Texas A&M University. I have been teaching for 28 years. I have taught K, 2nd, 3rd and 6-8th. My favorite is 2nd grade.   

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 29 years, and I have three awesome children. My oldest works for the Missouri City Police Department.  My son is a graduate of Texas Tech, and he is  getting married in October.  My youngest daughter is married and has a 10-month-old, Beckett. Grammy life is the best!

I have so many things that I love to do when I am not at school.  I enjoy traveling, golfing, and spending time with my family and friends. 

I am looking forward to a wonderful year with all of you!
