Welcome! My name is Mrs. Jodie Reed, and I’m proud to be a 4th-grade teacher here at Scanlan Oaks Elementary. I’m excited to guide our students through a year full of growth, discovery, and learning across all subject areas, including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.

I’ve been a part of the SOE family for the past 20 years and am passionate about helping students develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Before joining Scanlan Oaks, I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade in Cleveland, Ohio.  

I grew up in McAllen, Texas, and went on to attend Cleveland State University on a basketball scholarship. While in college, I met my husband, Anthony. We now have two wonderful sons—Anthony, a helicopter pilot in the Navy, and Andrew, who is pursuing a career as a basketball coach.

It is a privilege to work with the incredible students and families at Scanlan Oaks. I’m looking forward to another amazing school year!
