Howdy!
My name is Krysti Frewin, and I’m thrilled to be your 4th grade ELA and Social Studies teacher at Scanlan Oaks Elementary!

I grew up in the Sagemont area and attended Pasadena ISD schools before graduating from Texas A&M University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. In 2011, I earned my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Thomas.

Before joining the Scanlan Oaks family, I taught Kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd grade, and also served as a reading instructional coach for five years.

I believe in working hard, learning with joy, and building meaningful relationships with every student and their family. I set high expectations for both myself and my students, and I’m committed to creating a supportive and fun classroom environment.

Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband and our two boys, Ryder and Hunter. I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter, Texas A&M, chocolate, and scary movies!
