Welcome to an exciting year of discovery and growth! Fourth grade is such a special time filled with adventure, curiosity, and new opportunities to shine. I’m thrilled to begin my 19th year of teaching here at Scanlan Oaks Elementary—there’s no place I’d rather be! Teaching fourth grade is truly my passion. I love guiding students as they become confident, independent thinkers, deepen their love of reading, and grow as writers.

I’m a proud graduate of Texas A&M University (Whoop!) and love being part of the Aggie family. Having grown up right here in Fort Bend and attended Fort Bend ISD schools myself, I feel incredibly honored to now teach in a district so deeply committed to student success. It’s a full-circle moment for me!

I’m also a mom to two amazing SOE students—Wyatt, who’s in 5th grade, and Makenzie, who’s joining me in 4th grade this year. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll likely find me cheering on my kids at their activities, exploring new places, diving into a good book, or soaking up the sunshine outdoors with my family.

I can’t wait to see all the growth, laughter, and memories we’ll make this year. It’s going to be a fantastic ride—Go Express!
