My name is Amber Johnson and I am a teacher with Fort Bend ISD at Thurgood Marshall High School. The career paths your student will follow under my instruction will be Human Services and Education & Training. I have also been the sponsor of the National Honor Society for the past 11 years.  The courses I will instruct include Principles of Education & Training*, Principles of Human Services, Counseling & Mental Health Services, Family & Community Services, and Human Growth & Development.  I am a graduate of Texas Southern University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Human Services & Consumer Sciences.  I have been in education for 18 years and before joining the Fort Bend ISD family, I was with Houston ISD at Cesar E. Chavez High School for 3 years.  In this role I was responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans, tracking student progress and presenting the information to parents.  I also created tests, enforced classroom rules, and worked with school administration to prepare students for future success.  I am passionate about student success and their possibilities.  My motto is ‘To teach is to change lives forever.’  I will serve as an advocate for your students and be an open ear to make sure your students excel in their endeavours.  To contact me please email me at amber.johnson@fortbendisd.com or go to my website.
