My name is Mr. Riche, and I am super-excited to be at Fort Settlement Middle School. I am a native Texan, born and raised in the Houston area. I am the only native Houstonian in my family. My family moved to Sugar Land in December 1990. I attended First Colony Middle School and graduated from Clements High School. Afterwards, I attended Sam Houston State University, located in Huntsville, Texas. While attending college, I also worked as the Projectionist and Assistant Manager of the local movie theater in Huntsville. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor's degree in Geography and a minor in Social Studies. My first teaching position was in Palestine, Texas. I worked at a small charter school, where I taught all the Social Studies classes. In December 2013, I accepted a teaching position at Kelly Lane Middle School in Pflugerville, Texas. I spent nine and a half years at this school and loved every minute of it. In August 2021, my father passed away after a battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.  With my father's death, it became clear to me that it was important for me to be closer to my family. In May 2023, I was offered a teaching position at Fort Settlement Middle School. I am super-excited to be back in the Fort Bend area.
