Attention future teachers!

  • Thank you for your interest in completing your observation or field-based experience hours with Fort Bend ISD! Our Student Observer application opens on August 11, 2025 and will close in March 2026. We encourage you to complete your field-based experience hours in the Fall semester when there is more availability for observers.

    As part of our commitment to supporting future teachers, FBISD works closely with local colleges, universities and alternative certification programs to ensure we offer you a rich learning experience that meets the full requirements of your program.

    After you complete the online application, a member of FBISD's Organizational Development department will contact you to confirm your program requirements and advise you of the next steps. Please do not contact campus principals or teachers directly, as all Student Observers must be processed through Organizational Development and will be required to complete a background check.

    STUDENT OBSERVER APPLICATION

    Additional Details:

    • Fall Observations Applications/ Requests start in September and end around the end of November to provide students and teachers the opportunity to prepare for finals and the end of the semester. 
    • Spring Observations Applications/ Requests start in January and end in April.
