Screening Process
- If any of the above information is missing from your application, you will receive an email notification detailing the required updates. You must respond to the email confirming that you have made the necessary updates
- Reference requests will be sent out during the screening process to the supervisors listed. Please note that you will not be invited to an interview until we have received responses from your listed references, and the information meets the district's criteria
- Interviews are held at the beginning of every month; incomplete applications will not be re-screened. It is the applicant’s responsibility to contact the Sub Team to determine why you were not invited to an interview. (Example: you applied in August and were not invited to the September interview date)
- Incomplete applications will delay the hiring process
Applications are screened on a weekly basis. For example, if you applied on August 5th, your application will be screened the week of August 12th. Additionally, you apply the week prior to an interview date, your application will be screened for the next months interview date.
Interview
Candidates are required to interview for the Substitute position. If you are a FBISD retiree who has retired within the past three years, the interview process is waived.
- Once your application is considered complete, and we have received responses from your listed references, you will receive a "save the date" email for a virtual interview
- A week prior to the virtual interview date, you will receive further email communication
- The first round of interviews for the 2024-2025 school year are planned for the end of May
Hiring Process
- After the interview, you will receive email communication indicating whether or not you have been recommended for hire
