Student Bio
Neer is a Senior at Dulles High School as a part of the Math and Science Academy (MSA). At Dulles, he was an active part of the Dulles Speech & Debate Team, SciNow, SNHS, and Mu Alpha Theta. Additionally, he has received multiple awards through nonprofits such as Magic Bus and SEWA International for his dedicated service in their humanitarian causes.
As a part of GT Mentorship and PBK Architects/Leaf Engineers, he developed a deep understanding of professionalism, both in general and specific to Engineering, but also the importance of building and developing connections that can last a lifetime. In the future, he hopes that the bond between all of the mentees will be just as strong regardless of the paths they’ve chosen.
Next Fall, he will be attending UT Austin to study the McCombs School of Business. In the future, he hopes to attend law school, create his own start-up, and create meaningful change in the community around him through non-profit efforts.

Project Abstract
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, or MEP, is the core facet of engineering design in the architectural world. For a building to be considered safe and operational, it needs to pass key tests in these three core engineering disciplines. This presentation will engage in an analysis of the current state of engineering design in Fort Bend ISD’s Wheeler Field House and offer multiple different suggestions in order to promote cost and energy efficient methods to implement in daily usage for Wheeler. Additionally, there will be an investigation of key architectural features that contribute to the current state of the building. After establishing the key shortcomings determined based on its current plans, it will continue to explain the critical differences between current and suggested improvements while showing how these changes can result in massive long-term sustainability and conservation for the district. Both the shortcomings and solutions will be broken down into the three core engineering disciplines that make up MEP design. Lastly, there will also be mentioning of a few out of the box and new solutions that combine multiple disciplines to create new and unique 21st century solutions.
