Miss Alderfer has been teaching art since 2016, and at Dulles High School since 2022. She comes with an assortment of art teaching experience - from Art 1 to AP Art & Design and AP Art History. She graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, with her Bachelor of Arts in Art History and English Literature, and studied classical drawing techniques at Florence University of the Arts. She has also been fortunate enough to study a wide range of master artworks firsthand during 2 terms abroad in various European countries.  

Ms. Alderfer is excited to continue her teaching career at DHS, and plans to organize international trips for students with EF tours in the years ahead.
