Hello! My name is Gabrielle White, and it is my pleasure to be a part of the Deaf Education program at Dulles High school as the English and Reading Teacher with RDSPD.

I have been teeaching for 5+ years, and look forward to another year with our students. Over time I have found my various experiences and skillsets have all led me to where I am today, and I am grateful to share the love of reading, writing, and storytelling with every student that enters my classroom. 

Our classroom is founded on 4 simples rules;

1. We are safe.
2. We are respectful.
3. We follow instructions the first time.
4. We work hard and try our best!

Our goal in upholding these expectations is to practice showing up as our best selves when learning - and when we falter, our peers and staff will support us through patience, grace, and understanding (because we are ALL human, 100% of the time!). Leading with empathy and growing in curiousity is what I hope to encourage for every student throughout the school year. And maybe, just maybe, find a story or two to fall in love with along the way.
