I was a successful dental surgeon in my hometown across the border in Cuidad Juarez, Mexico. Yet, there was something lacking, something missing from my work life. I yearned for a more rewarding profession. I knew I enjoyed working with people but I needed a lifelong challenge. An opportunity was knocking and when I opened the door it was TEACHING, inviting me to take an adventure.

 Here I am today, a pillar of this community. I have found what I yearned for, my true calling. With that being said, I have worked in F.B.I.S.D since 2009 with the upper grade levels. Another job I have besides a child’s superhero by day is by night I am ESL teacher at a local elementary school. Teaching is what I enjoy most and being around this community is my home away from home.
