Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to 2nd Grade! I am delighted to welcome your child into our classroom community and look forward to a year filled with joy, growth, and meaningful learning.

A Little About Me

My name is Melanie Chandler, and I’m thrilled to be teaching here at Goodman Elementary in Fort Bend ISD. My husband and I are proud parents of four wonderful daughters. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Southern University in 2002, and most recently, my Master’s in Professional School Counseling from Lamar University. This marks my ninth year serving students and families in Fort Bend ISD, and each year brings so much excitement and new possibilities.

What’s Ahead

The year is set to be both happy and productive! Together, we’ll grow academically, socially, and emotionally. My aim is to create a supportive learning environment where every child feels valued, curious, and empowered.
