• Welcome to FBISD Student Transfer Information Center

The 2026-2027 inter-district and intra-district transfer options have re-opened for students in grades K-12. Inter-district transfers allow students who live outside FBISD boundaries to apply for enrollment, while intra-district transfers provide eligible current FBISD students the opportunity to apply to attend schools outside their zoned campus.  Students currently on a Special Circumstance Transfer (SCT) will not need to renew their transfers to remain at the same transfer campus for the 2026–27 school year. SCT students may have their transfers revoked for discipline and poor attendance.

Students currently on an Employee Student Transfer (EST) will need to renew their transfers for the 2026-27 school year.  Additionally, employees who want to request a new Employee Student Transfer (EST) or grandparents who are FBISD employees and want to request a Grandparent Employee Student Transfer (GET) for the 2026-27 school year must complete a transfer application.

For students who meet eligibility and need to request a transfer in accordance with HB 2892, HB 1959, or HB 4126, parents should click on the link below.

For students who meet eligibility and need to request a Public Education Grant (PEG) for the 2026-27 school year, parents should review the 2026-27 PEG information found on the PEG webpage before requesting a transfer.

The application to request a new EST, GET, or SCT or to complete an EST Renewal is now re-opened and will close on July 23, 2026.
