Hi, I am Mrs. Stillabower, the dyslexia teacher here at Pecan Grove Elementary.  Throughout my years in Fort Bend ISD, I had the opportunity of working at several campuses as a classroom teacher for 15 years prior to transferring to PGE in 2006. I am a University of Houston graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Education as well as a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialist Certification.

My journey as a dyslexia teacher began when I accepted the Reading Specialist position in 2008.  I LOVE my job as it allows me to work with students at every grade level and to work closely with professional staff as we develop strategic academic and/or intervention plans to help students acquire the necessary reading skills to become lifelong readers.

During my spare time, I enjoy shopping, dancing, traveling, catching a good flick at the theater or on Netflix, spending time with my family (3 kids, 2 fur babies, a wonderful husband and 7 grandkids) and friends, and of course, reading a good book!!!

As I begin my 34th year of teaching, I look forward to opening up the world of reading to future generations.
