Fort Bend ISD works closely with college, university and Alternative Certification Programs (ACPs) to ensure our student teachers receive quality learning experiences that aligned to the expectations of their Educator Preparation Program.
If you are interested in student teaching in Fort Bend ISD, please note the two-step process to initate your application.
1. PROGRAM REQUEST: Please inform your institution/program of your desire to student teach in Fort Bend ISD, and have your program email Fort Bend ISD Induction & Mentorship the information outlined below. Please make sure Crystal Renteria, FBISD Talent Acquisition Coordinator, is copied on the request.
- Student teacher name (Last, First)
- Student teacher email
- Student teacher phone number
- Content Area
- Information regarding more than one placement
- Name, email address and phone number of program supervisor
2. STUDENT TEACHING INTEREST FORM: After your program/institution has submitted the information above, please complete the online Student Teaching Interest Form. Once your eligibility and program information has been confirmed, a member of the FBISD Organizational Development team will reach out to you regarding the next steps.
