Siomara Saenz-Phillips, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools
Mrs. Siomara Saenz-Phillips has been selected to serve as Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Schools. With over 30 years of dedicated service in education, Mrs. Saenz-Phillips is a highly respected leader committed to fostering excellence in education. Throughout her career, she has served as Area Chief of School Leadership with Grand Prairie ISD, Director of School Improvement with Spring ISD, and School Support Officer with Houston ISD where she supported and supervised principals. Mrs. Saenz-Phillips was previously a teacher, Academic Specialist, Assistant Principal, Transformation Principal, and Lead Principal. She has led turnaround work both as principal and School Support Officer consistently driving positive change and student success.
Mrs. Saenz-Phillips holds a bachelor’s degree in government from the University of Texas – Pan American. She earned a Master’s degree in education administration and Supervision as a Title III Fellow in the Urban Principals Program at the University of Houston.
As Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Schools, Mrs. Saenz-Phillips brings a wealth of experience in instructional leadership, equity-focused initiatives, and strategic school improvement. Her ability to inspire educators, engage families, and create thriving learning environments has earned her the respect of colleagues and the community alike.
