Greetings! I am Mrs. Demetria D. Brown-Fogle, a Fifth Grade teacher at Palmer Elementary School. It is important for parents and guardians to know their educators; therefore, I am sharing some information about my career, experience, and educational beliefs. I have been a certified teacher for grades Pre-K to Sixth Grade for twenty-nine years, and I am so EXCITED to begin my 30th year with you!  I have taught all of those grade levels, as well as all content areas (Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, etc.). I am a proud graduate of Morris College's Class of 1995, with a degree in Elementary Education. Later, I graduated from Walden University with my Masters' Degree in Designing Curriculum, Testing, and Assessments. Being a military wife and mom has given me the opportunity to travel and live in various areas where I have also held teaching positions. I continue to learn and grow as an educator to ensure that I use the best practices and provide the best learning experiences (within my power) in my everyday teaching.

          In my classroom, I strive to teach the "total child", meaning that I help to create safe learning environments for my students that address their social, emotional, and academic goals. Our classroom family establishes expectations that foster excellence, learning, fun, and excitement.  As a Fifth Grade teacher, I am a part of the bridge of passage for your student (s), moving out of the Elementary grades and into the secondary school years. I am committed to working with our Fifth Graders and families to help each student have a successful school year. My goal is for each student is to leave  Palmer ES prepared for the next huge step.....Middle School! I believe in strong teacher-family relationships, so there will be opportunities for us to work together throughout the school year. I am looking forward to having the best school year with all of our Fifth Graders and families!
