Welcome!

My name is Nikita Evans, and I am thrilled to be your child’s 2nd grade ELAR and Social Studies teacher. I am entering my 11th year in education and currently serve as the 2nd grade team lead at Palmer Elementary. Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching grades K–3.

Second grade is such a fun and important year—it’s filled with new learning, big milestones, and growing independence. I look forward to working together to make this a successful and memorable year for your child!

From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I am passionate about inspiring young minds and fostering a love for learning. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Education and am currently in the final stretch of earning my master’s degree in Educational Administration, along with my principal certification. Teaching and leading has always been my passion, and I truly enjoy helping students grow and succeed.

In addition to my professional life, I’m a proud parent of a teenager who is entering high school. This personal experience has deepened my understanding of children’s needs and helps me create a nurturing and supportive classroom environment.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, working out, and spending time with family and friends. These activities help me stay balanced and energized, and I enjoy sharing my passions with my students.

I am committed to providing a positive, engaging, and enriching learning experience for all my students. I look forward to an amazing year ahead!
