Mrs. Dorothy Shelton-Johnson

With over 37 years of experience in education, I am proud to continue inspiring young minds as a 2nd grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. Throughout my career, I have remained passionate about creating a classroom environment where learning is joyful, meaningful, and rooted in strong relationships.

I love to connect with people, build community, and help my students discover their voice and confidence as learners. Whether we’re diving into a great book, exploring our country’s history, or building writing skills, I aim to make each day engaging and purposeful.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy socializing, meeting new people, and embracing opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. My mission is to foster a love of learning and help every child thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.
