My name is Ms. Alberta Tanner, and I’m originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. I’ve proudly called Houston home for over 25 years, where I’ve enjoyed contributing to the community and working with families across various settings. I’m excited to return to LOMS for my second year as your Special Education ABC Teacher! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business from University of Phoenix and a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership from Grand Canyon University. My years of experience working with individuals in behavioral health settings have deepened my commitment to education and shaped my passion for helping all students thrive. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy fishing, reading, traveling, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends. I also love football, track, and being outdoors. I’m a proud wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; family is the heart of who I am.
