Hello, my name is Mrs. Okotie and I am so excited to be part of the 7th/8th Grade Math team! Most importantly, I am thrilled to be your teacher! This will be a wonderful year full of learning and fun, not to mention, an incredible year of growth and change.  

With over 26 years of experience in the classroom, I am a passionate and dedicated math educator who believes that every student can succeed with the right tools, support, and encouragement. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve guided middle school students through the complexities of math, helping them build confidence, master foundational concepts, and develop a genuine love for learning.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in making math meaningful, accessible, and engaging. Whether it's through interactive lessons, real-world applications, or differentiated instruction, I strive to meet students where they are and challenge them to grow. I’ve taught a wide range of learners and adapted to various educational trends, always staying committed to high standards and student-centered learning.

Every year, my mission remains the same: to help students believe in their abilities and understand that math is not just a subject—it's a powerful way of thinking. I look forward to working with you and your child this year. With all of us working together, we are going to have an amazing year!
