Welcome to My Teacher Page!

My name is Ms. Alvenia Chambliss, and I am excited to begin this school year as your 8th Grade Science teacher at Lake Olympia Middle School. This year marks my 10th year in education, and I bring a passion for creating engaging, hands-on science learning experiences. I am originally from Oxford, Mississippi from which I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Mississippi.

My background includes teaching Anatomy & Physiology and Forensic Science at the high school level, and I am thrilled to now guide middle school students in discovering the wonders of science. I also have experience in healthcare and customer service, which I incorporate into real-world classroom connections.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family, playing board games, and hanging out with my rottweiler, Fritz. I am the youngest of three children and the proud daughter of Josephine and Alvin O. Chambliss, Jr.

My goal is to foster a positive learning environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and inspired to succeed. I look forward to an amazing year of learning and growth together!
