Emergent Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee
-

What is the purpose of the Emergent Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (EB PAC)?
The EB PAC serves as a bridge between families of Emergent Bilingual (EB) students and Fort Bend ISD. Parent representatives act as liaisons between their campus communities and the district’s Multilingual Department.
Members attend monthly EB PAC meetings to receive program updates, learn about district initiatives, and share information with families at their schools. Representatives are encouraged to bring feedback, questions, and campus perspectives to help strengthen services, communication, and support for EB students and their families.
Who is on the EB PAC?
The Emergent Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee is made up of parents and guardians of EB students in Fort Bend ISD who want to support and strengthen EB programming across the district.
Ideally, the EB PAC includes one parent representative from each FBISD campus. This group of dedicated parents collaborates with the Fort Bend ISD Multilingual Department and their representing school to:
- Receive program updates
- Learn about resources available to families
- Ask questions and share ideas
- Provide family and community feedback
A list of parent representatives and the campuses they represent is available in the Reference Documents section of this page.
How may I volunteer to represent my child(ren)’s school?
Parents and guardians may self-nominate to serve on the EB Parent Advisory Committee by completing the online interest form.
- Each campus may have one parent representative.
- If more than one parent volunteers from the same campus, a selection process will be used.
For questions about serving on EB PAC or assistance with the interest form, please contact Cesar Moreira at Cesar.Moreira@fortbendisd.gov
How may I ask questions or submit concerns to the EB PAC?
Families are encouraged to share questions, ideas, and concerns related to EB programs and services.
Please submit questions to your campus parent representative at least fifteen (15) days prior to the next scheduled meeting so topics can be shared with the leadership team. This helps ensure concerns are reviewed in advance.
