I’m Mrs. Diaz-Wu!

I am thrilled that you will be in my class this year! Together, we are going to delve into literature, cognition, and connectivity -- I can’t wait to get started! I began teaching at FBISD in 2002 and joined the GT Academy in 2015, so you can probably infer that I love what I do! 

Middle school is an important and unique time in life. An abundance of compassion and understanding is reciprocally needed from teachers and students. In essence, it’s important to work as a team. My role as your teacher is to support and guide your growth as a learner of the world and help shape you into an individual of strong character.

In addition to teaching superstars in the making, I am a mom of three, a wife of twenty+ years, a sibling, a daughter, an avid sci-fi reader, a runner, and a coffee aficionada. When I’m not grading papers, lesson planning, or co-sponsoring NJHS, you'll likely find me jogging around my neighborhood, picking up my daily cup of Starbucks, or shopping at Target. 😊

One more thing you should know is that I plan for this year to be great! With hard work and determination, each of you has the potential to become whatever you aspire to be. I truly hope to bring that out in all my students!
