My name is Lacy Shipp, and I am a second grade teacher here at Leonetti Elementary. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Early Childhood Education. I have gone on to get my ESL and GT certifications since graduating.   This will be my twenty-second year of teaching and my fifteenth year in second grade! When I began teaching second grade, I loved it more than I could have ever imagined. The previous seven years were spent in first grade. I love teaching and all that it entails. I not only teach in a Fort Bend school, but I grew up in them. I attended school in FBISD from Kindergarten right up to graduation. I loved it so much I just had to come back!   Not only do I have many amazing children at school, I also have two more at home. My husband Andy and I are the proud parents of two beautiful children. Our daughter Rylie is a senior at LeTourneau University, and our son Nolan is a senior at Ridge Point High School. There is no better place to be than Leonetti Elementary!
