Leaving School Early
The latest pick-up time is 2:20 p.m. Please plan to arrive at the front office no later than 2:10 p.m. in order to meet the 2:20 p.m. timeframe.
Students leaving school early for any reason must sign out prior to leaving campus, or the absence will be unexcused.
Arrive at the front office with your ID and request for your student. If you pick up during the passing period, please prearrange with your student to meet you at the front office before going to their next class period. Please refer to the bell schedule for this option. Otherwise, we will call for your student upon your arrival.
For students who drive to campus:
Written permission is required for students to drive to appointments. Please email the attendance office by 1st period the day of the appointment and your student will receive a pass to sign out at our office. Once signed out they will receive a parking lot pass to leave campus.

Students, regardless of age, cannot sign themselves out without prior parent written permission.
The district sends out a daily notification for all students who were absent for one or more periods of the day. Excuse notes can be sent to us by replying to that email notification.
If your student was marked absent in error, please email the teacher for that class period. The attendance office can only make corrections to the attendance record with the teachers email to our office.

High School Attendance Counts!
-
Daily attendance in school is a strong indicator of future success.
Per the Student Attendance Accounting Handbook provided by Texas Education Agency, a student is considered either present or absent at the official attendance-taking time, known as snapshot.
Each campus attendance is determined by the number of students present at this important designated snapshot time. The high school snapshot time is 10:00 a.m.
To ensure academic engagement and successful learning, all students should be present daily by snapshot and remain academically engaged all day.
