Amanda Wallisch

Hello! My name is Amanda Wallisch, and I’m excited to be teaching Biology and Chemistry at CHS. I’ve always been passionate about science and the way it helps us understand the world around us, and I love sharing that curiosity with my students.

I hold a Master’s degree in Forensic Science from Sam Houston State University, and Bachelors degrees in both Biology and Forensic Science from Trine University. During my time as a student, I had the opportunity to perform DNA research on human skeletal elements, insects, and plants. Additionally, I have experience working in a forensic laboratory performing DNA testing for criminal and death investigations.

My goal in the classroom is to create a supportive, engaging environment where students feel confident exploring complex ideas and asking questions. I believe science should be hands-on, so I strive to bring labs, demonstrations, and real-world applications into every unit. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my family. I’m always looking for new ways to connect science with everyday life, and I’m committed to helping all students succeed and develop a lifelong love of learning.

I’m proud to be part of the Ranger community and look forward to a great year ahead!
