Who can apply for the Middle School Choice Programs?
Any student entering the sixth grade during the 2026-27 school year.
- Students zoned to the host campus will automatically participate in the Choice Program.
- Students residing within FBISD but outside the school’s zone may apply to attend the Choice Program. Please note that transportation will not be provided.
- Students living outside FBISD boundaries may apply to attend the Choice Program. These requests are subject to space availability; priority placement will be given to FBISD zoned students.

Who can apply for High School Virtual Learning Option
Any student previously enrolled in Texas who will enter the 9th grade in Fall 2026 is eligible to apply. (Students who live within FBISD zones will be given priority placement.)
Extracurricular/UIL Participation
- Students who reside within FBISD attendance boundaries will be able to participate in extracurricular/UIL activities during the 2026-27 school year if they attend their designated classes during the day and provide their own transportation to after school activities.
- Students who reside outside of FBISD’s attendance boundaries will NOT be able to participate in extracurricular/UIL activities during the 2026-27 school year.

The deadline to apply for a choice program or transfer for the 2026-27 school year is May 1, 2026.
